A geared central column with adjustable tension allows you to raise the tripod head higher than the fully extended legs would allow. The minimum height is 27', and the maximum extended height is 63'. A center brace stabilizes the legs in place, and you can increase the tripod's stability by hanging extra weight from a hook located at the bottom of the center column. The 3-way panning-style tripod head is great for taking videos or following a moving target due to its smooth, continuous movement capabilities. A quick release plate on the panhead can be removed for easy attachment to the 1/4-20 port on the bottom of your camera or spotting scope. An optional tripod binocular adapter with binoculars attached can also screw onto the quick release plate, then simply snap the plate into the tripod head and lock it into place.
