It's made in the USA with a ceramic in a variety of finishes, and has a small opening in the base that directs light downward. There's a twist-and-lock base for a 120 volt bulb inside, although the lightbulb is sold separately. This pendant is safe for damp locations, and is compatible with dimmer switches.
